New iPhone 15 Battery Health feature!

People who are concerned about the health of their iPhone battery try to regulate every aspect of their gadget experience in order to squeeze out a few more minutes of use.

While it is recommended to just let the battery power management system do things, Apple has introduced a new toggle.

Meanwhile, new information obtained by MacRumors confirms the entire iPhone 15 lineup now comes with a new battery health setting. Users now have the option whether they will select 80 percent instead of 100 percent battery.

This isn't your typical Optimized Battery Charging setting, which pauses the iPhone from charging when it reaches 80 percent and then resumes charging to 100 percent right before the user wakes up. Rather, the iPhone will never charge over 80 percent.

From 0 percent to 80 percent, charging a battery is pretty efficient and uniform, but the last 20 percent generally consumes more energy and generates more heat. As a result, some users intentionally strive to keep their battery float between 40 percent and 80 percent at all times in order to maintain battery health.

Now, conscious user no longer need to torment themselves by worrying about the health of their iPhone battery and just set it at 80 percent automatically. However, it is still best to just stick to optimized battery charging anyway.

The reason is that you won't be able to maximize the remaining percentage of juice which can be beneficial in emergency situations or you actually need that extra minutes to call or send text messages.

Besides doing this type of setting will only save a few more weeks of battery health as claimed by AppleInsider.
