Apple iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max announced - Titanium design, 3nm chip, up to 120mm telephoto cam, USB-C, PHP 70,990 starting price!
On schedule, American tech giant Apple has just launched the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro smartphones.

Better iPhones than ever, now with USB-C!
The new Pro iPhones now feature a more durable titanium enclosure that uses a Grade 5 Titanium merged with an aluminum frame inside. It has a brushed finish and special coatings to make it nicer to hold and more durable.
Apple also claimed that they have reduced the dimensions and made the iPhones lighter using this while making it more repairable than ever.
It'll come with Natural Titanium, Blue Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium colorways.
The new Pro iPhones are also equipped with the new Action button that you can use for silent mode, shortcuts, camera, flashlight, voice memos, translate, and more.
The phones are still rated at IP68 for water and dust resistance.

The new iPhone 15 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch screen size while the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both screens are Super Retina XDR OLED screens with support 120Hz ProMotion and Extreme HDR as well as the new Standby AOD to show useful information.
The iPhone 15 Pro comes with a 2556 x 1179 resolution while the iPhone 15 Pro Max arrived with a 2796 x 1290 resolution. Both are at 460 ppi.
The displays also have True Tone, Haptic Touch, and 2,000 nits peak brightness.
The displays are protected by the Ceramic Shield making it "tougher" than any smartphone glass.
Inside, the devices are packed with the industry-first 3nm chip called the Apple A17 Pro. The company said that it is made with 19 billion transistors in total and uses 2x performance cores, 4x efficiency cores, a 16-core Neural Engine, and a 6-core GPU.
Apple emphasized that it has its performance cores have 10 percent better performance than the previous generation while its efficiency cores come with 3x stronger performance per watt versus the competition. The GPU now has shader architecture, mesh shading, and 4x faster ray tracing performance for a 20 percent total increase versus the previous gen.
The iPhone 15 Pro is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is available in 25GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants.
Apple claims that the devices have up to 23 hours of video playback (Pro) or up to 20 hours of video playback (Pro Max), 50 percent charge in 30 minutes with a 20W adapter, and up to 15W MagSafe wireless charging.

The next upgrade of the iPhone 15 Pro phones is found in the cameras.
The devices are now packed with an improved 48MP f/1.68 primary shooter with 2.44µm pixels, 100 percent Focus Pixels, and 2nd-gen sensor shift-OIS.
This main camera supports 24, 28, and 35mm focal lengths. Now, you can even choose a default lens.
Apple said that it also upgraded its Portrait mode with Night mode where you can edit the focus and depth even after taking the shot.
The second camera is a 12MP f/2.2 13mm ultra-wide-angle camera with support for macro photography.
For the iPhone 15 Pro model, you will also find a 12MP f/1.78 77mm 3x telephoto sensor.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses using better 12MP f/2.2 5x telephoto camera with a tetra-prism design that allows up to 120mm range.
Using the UW and primary camera of the device, the Pro models of the new iPhones can now capture Spatial Videos as well.
Both are equipped with the TrueDepth Camera system with a 12MP f/1.9 aperture camera with Autofocus with Focus Pixels and up to 4K 60fps video recording.

In compliance with the new rules of the European Union, Apple finally added a USB Type-C connection with USB 3 speed for up to 20x faster transfer speeds on the new iPhones.
The rest of the specs
The phones also have stereo speakers, WiFi 6E, UWB, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, dual-frequency GPS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, NavIC), satellite with Emergency SOS + Roadside Assistance, and dual SIM support (nano-SIM and eSIM).
The two run with the new iOS 17 operating system.

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at PHP 70,990 while the iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at PHP 84,990.
Expect official local retailers like Beyond the Box, Digital Walker, and Power Mac Center to carry the new iPhones soon.
