Previously, Qualcomm renamed its PC-focused ARM chips to "X". Now we get a complete view of its details.
The entire information was exclusively published by Windows Report which mentioned the Snapdragon X Series will be available on H2 2024.
The publication noted that according to their source, the launch event will happen at Snapdragon Summit 2023 from October 24-26. That will be from tomorrow until Thursday.
Anyways according to Windows Report, the Snapdragon X Series is based on a 4nm design with the CPU comprising 12 high-performance cores with speeds of 3.8GHz, with dual-core boost of up to 4.3GHz. It uses LPDDR5x memory and has a 42MB total cache and 136GB/s memory bandwidth.
This combination brings 50 percent improved multi-thread performance versus ARM-based rivals. Other features include support for internal display up to 4K120Hz, HDR10, triple UHD or dual 5K external display support, and an integrated Adreno GPU with 4.6 TFLOPs speeds.
Moreover, the upcoming SoC supports WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 and will also support AV1 encoding and decoding which is not present with the predecessor 8cx Gen 3.
As for I/O, the device supports USB 4.0, interface type 3x USB-C, 3x USB4, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 and 1x eUSB2.
