Confirmed: TECNO Phantom V Flip to receive 2 years of major Android OS update

Why? It brings the foldable display technology closer to the mass market with its premium mid-range pricing.
How long will the TECNO Phantom V Flip receive major software updates?
However, TECNO doesn't have a proven track record when it comes to major OS updates, making it normal to worry a little about the support that its phones will be getting in the long run.
Thankfully, the company confirmed to team GIZGUIDE that the TECNO Phantom V Flip will get "about two times" of major Android OS updates.
The handset is currently at Android 13 with HiOS 13.5 skin. So if TECNO stays true to its promise, the device will get Android 14 and Android 15 once they are ready to seed those updates.
Its international SRP of INR 49,999/USD 599 (around PHP 34K out of straight conversion) makes it one of the most affordable clamshell foldable phones in the world, but that's still a lot of money.
So, while isn't as long as the 3-4 years of support from other major Android smartphone players, it is nice to hear that TECNO will be providing updates for this phone.
Apart from promising major OS updates, TECNO claims that the device can also survive up to 250,000 folds which is equivalent to 6.8 years at 100 folds per day, ensuring that it will last for a long while.
