Uptown Tempur Cinema to feature PH's first bed cinema, priced at PHP 1K per head!
Megaworld Cinemas has collaborated with Tempur to bring the PH's first movie theater with beds.

The first bed cinema in the Philippines!
In case you don't know yet, Megaworld Cinema is a pioneer in Ultra Cinemas while Tempur is a known brand for premium beds, pillows, and mattresses.
The bed-cinema concept aims to enhance the movie-watching of users by simply allowing them to lie on the bed instead of on a reclining chair like the mainstream movies had.
This cinema will feature Tempur's mattresses, pillows, and beds to ensure users will have the highest possible comfort while enjoying their latest booked movie.

Moreover, Uptown Tempur Cinema features a Dolby Atmos sound system for an immersive and realistic audio experience.

When it comes to pricing, it will be PHP 1,000 per head with each bed can accommodate two users at a time. So that's like PHP 2,000 if you have a companion.
The said theater has a total capacity of 32 beds or 64 users.

I actually just got back from a trip where we stayed in an Airbnb that had a similar setup, but they used cheap foam mattresses and it was a total backbreaker by the end of the film. It totally ruined the immersion for me. A friend of mine who works in interior design mentioned that for a truly premium experience at home, you really need to invest in proper support rather than just soft padding. She pointed me towards some guides online about custom home theater furniture, which apparently makes a world of difference for posture during long marathons. That Tempur collaboration sounds amazing, but I bet the real magic is in the foundation and layout they choose for the space. It is smart they are using quality brands to back up the concept. I wonder if they will offer different firmness options for the seats, I mean beds.
