OnePlus 12 to feature Sony Lytia CMOS Sensor!

OnePlus has made a partnership with Sony to make this possible and bring it to their OnePlus 12.

The new stacked CMOS sensor comes with a 2-layer transistor pixel tech featuring a separate layer for the transistor and photodiode layers allowing for physically bigger diodes and higher light capture.

Most BBK brands like OPPO, and vivo have also announced partnerships with Sony's Lytia this year which we may expect on the Find X7 and vivo X100 smartphones.

We also saw the Sony Lytia 808 sensor in the recently announced OnePlus Open main camera.

The OnePlus 12 was previously expected to launch with a 50MP Sony IMX966 primary sensor, a 64MP telephoto sensor OmniVision OV64B with 3x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide sensor.

Meanwhile, GSMArena reported that the OnePlus 12 will also have a new LTPO OLED screen engineered by BOE.

Finally, rumor says that OnePlus 12 is going to make its debut in China in December 2023. While the Global release will be in early 2024.
