vivo X100 and X100 Pro announced: Dimensity 9300, custom cameras, ZEISS T* coating

In China, mobile giant vivo just launched its newest flagship camera phone called the X100 Series.

The new X100 and X100 Pro are the best camera phones from vivo yet!

The X100 Series consists of the "regular" and "Pro" versions with some differences in specs and cameras.

Both phones highlight a neat-looking back design with IP68 water and dust resistance rating in White Moonlight Chen Ye Black, and Sunset Orange with a leather finish and water ripple texture.

The vivo X100 measures 164.05 x 75.19 x 8.49 mm (glass) ~ 8.74 mm (vegan leather) while the X100 Pro measures 164.05 x 75.28 x 8.91 mm (glass) ~ 9.05 mm (vegan leather). The X100 weighs 202 (vegan leather) ~ 206 grams (glass) while the X100 Pro is 221 (vegan leather ~ 225 grams (glass) heavy.

For the display, the two uses a 6.78-inch flat LTPO AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, HDR10+, 1.5K 2800 x 1260 resolution, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a top-center punch-hole for the 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Under the hood, the two are powered by the new 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 with 8 big cores up to 3.25GHz and a 12-core Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU.

The phones have up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB internal storage.

The X100 has a 5,000mAh battery capacity with a USB-C 120W flash charge that can charge the device to 50 percent in 11 minutes.

Meanwhile, the X100 Pro is equipped with a larger 5,400mAh capacity with USB-C 100W fast charging that can fill its capacity to 50 percent in 12.5 minutes and a 50W wireless charging tech.

For cameras, the X100 uses a custom 50MP f/1.49-inch f/1.57 Sony IMX920 VCS bionic sensor with OIS, 50MP 1/2.76-inch f/2.0 150-degrees ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64MP 1/2-inch telephoto camera with f/2.5 aperture with OIS (up to 100x digital zoom), and ZEISS T* coating.

On the other hand, the X100 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX989 VCS bionic 1-inch sensor, 50MP 1/2.76-inch f/2.0 150-degrees ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP 1/2-inch APO telephoto camera f/2.5 aperture, OIS, up to 100x digital zoom, telephoto macro, ZEISS T* coating, and vivo designed V3 imaging chip.

The vivo V3 chip allows 4K-level processing, movie-level video skin tone protection, and the first Android 4K portrait video shooting and editing.

The rest of the specs

Both phones have stereo speakers, HiFi audio, WiFi 7, 5G SA/NSA, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GNSS (GPS), and dual nano SIM slots.

The X100 and X100 Pro run with the latest Android 14 OS with Origin OS 14 in China. For the global market, it'll come with Funtouch OS 14.

The phones are now available for pre-order in China. The sale will start on November 21.
