Technology giant HUAWEI today formally announced that the new MatePad Pro 13.2-inch is now official in the Philippines.

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2-inch is the company's biggest and most premium-looking tablet to date designed for creatives, those in need of a slim tablet with PC-like features, and a portable multimedia powerhouse.

According to HUAWEI, this is also the world's thinnest and lightest tablet for the big size category at just 5.5mm thin and 580 grams weight.

A stunning display in person

To recap, it features a 13.2-inch flexible OLED screen with 2880 x 1920 resolution, wide-color P3 gamut, 1,000 nits of max brightness, 3:2 aspect ratio, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification. This tablet also has Widevine L1 support for HD streaming on Netflix, Disney+, and more.

Under the hood, it is packed with the Kirin 9000W chip. HUAWEI hasn't divulged details about the new chip yet, but it is powerful enough to run most of the tasks we threw at it with ease.

In the Philippines, the device comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

The device also has a large 10,100mAh battery capacity with 88W SuperCharge Turbo that can charge the device to 85 percent in 40 minutes and 100 percent in 65 minutes.

To keep its performance in check, the device comes with a huge graphite cooling area that covers 52,000mm2 and VC liquid cooling.

For taking pictures and videos, it sports a 13MP main camera 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and 16MP with TOF 3D depth sensor.

Other features are 6 dual-channel speakers (2x high frequency + 4x low frequency) and 4x microphones. It is also the first tablet to receive Switzerland SGS Five-Star Certification for tablet audio performance.

HUAWEI is also highlighting that it is now packed with the new M-Pencil 3rd generation, which implements StarLight technology and has 10,000 levels of pressure and a latency of 0ms. HUAWEI claims it provides a better writing and drawing experience than its predecessor. 

HUAWEI claims that this one is 20 percent more accurate than the second-generation Apple Pencil.
