Shuffled pros as Team EGO |
VALORANT Outlaw show match featured pro players to highlight the new gun!
The event was hosted by funny creator/streamer Razzie Binx who welcomed players from Team Secret and Team SMG.
These players have showcased how to utilize the Outlaw gun, if you don't know yet, it's a type of sniper with a double barrel capable of dealing extremely high damage. It can easily take out half-shielders or seriously hurt the ones who opt for full shields.
It's also a mid-priced item and is specifically designed for stealth and agility that will surely change the meta.
Speaking of which there's this ongoing light shield or half shield strategy in the early phase of the game. Now players will have to reconsider what type of protection they will choose especially when being faced with an outlaw user.

For the second game, Team Prism prevailed by not backing down and finished the match with a 13-8 score, tying the series.

Meanwhile, Joel Guzman, Riot Games PG Country Manager was asked why is Riot Games opening 2024 with a VALORANT OUTLAW show match.
It really gets the community excited. I think this is a good opportunity for us to announce something new like the Outlaw Gun and it's also a good way for us to celebrate moments like friends. Team Secret won the Predator League a week ago and SMG also. It's really a combination of things, Jotel Guzman noted.
I think one of the good things about having an event like this is to hype up the community and excitement. There are going to be a lot of announcements for VALORANT in the first half of the year starting off with VCT and some other mga pasabog namin by Q2 or Q3. Expect more of events to come through community tournaments---we're really looking into grassroots. Expect more showmatches not just with pro teams but also with big celebrities who are genuinely playing Valorant kasi we've heard last year na marami talagang naglalaro ng Valorant kahit sa mga big communities and celebrities. We're trying to rally the troops, we're trying to bring them together because it really celebrates Valorant for what it is, Joel added.
You may watch the fun replay of the show match on Valorant's Facebook page and witness how the Pros play the new weapon.
