realme 12 Pro+ launched: SD7s G2, 50MP Sony IMX890, and 64MP Periscope sensor w/ 120x zoom!

Right on time, realme introduces the 12 Pro series globally. In this article, we will tackle the Pro+ version.

Rolex-inspired design

1st mid-range in its class with 120x zoom capability!

Just like the previous teasers, the phone features a premium vegan leather design inspired by the luxury watch brand Rolex and made by designer Ollivier Saveo. As you can see it comes in Golden patterns at the circular camera island as well as on the strip at the center.

Another highlight will be the high-end camera setup it offers. realme equipped the device with 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide camera + 64MP OV64B 3x periscope telephoto lens, 6x in-sensor zoom and up to 120x zoom + LED flash.

realme also included ProXDR which analyzes the pictures transmitted by its camera, which then optimizes the photo effects for an improved range of brightness and dynamic range.

Furthermore, the phone uses the MasterShot Algorithm for enhanced image processing. According to the brand, the realme 12 Pro Series is the first and only device in its category to process RAW domains, delivering clear photos, dynamic range, and realistic cinematic portraits.

The features

At the front, the realme 12 Pro+ 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, ultra-narrow bezels, 2160Hz PWM ultra-high frequency dimming, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 950 nits max brightness and 1260Hz instant touch sampling rate.

Inside, the phone is powered by a 2.4GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 octa-core processor w/ Adreno GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

For battery, the phone uses a 5,000mAh capacity that charges using USB-C and 67W SuperVOOC charger.

For selfies, the phone has a 32MP Sony sensor.

Other features noted are a 3D VC cooling system with a 3394mm2 vapor chamber. It also has an In-Display fingerprint reader, an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

For connectivity, the phone has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs on Android 14 with realme UI 5.0 skin on top.
