According to Samsung Philippines, its newest flagship series has achieved record pre-orders on its 1st-day sale.

To recap, the Galaxy S24 series comprises of regular S24, a Plus version, and the Ultra variant. All of which feature AI capabilities meant to improve user experience.

One of the AI features

Among these features is the Galaxy AI editing tool that lets users do basic edits like erase, compose, and remaster. The Edit Suggestion utilizes Galaxy AI to suggest personalized image edits, while the Generative edit uses generative AI to improve the backgrounds of the photo.

It also has Live Translate, which provides two-way real-time speech and text translations of phone calls inside the native app. The Interpreter feature allows live discussions to be instantly translated on a split-screen display, even without the internet.

Another AI feature is Chat Assist which can help in optimizing conversational tones. Note Assist in Samsung Notes provides AI-generated summaries and pre-made templates, while Transcript Assist uses AI and Speech-to-Text technology to interpret, summarize, and translate voice recordings. There's also the Circle to Search feature with Google. By doing a long press on the home button, users can encircle, highlight, scribble on, or tap anything on the Galaxy S24 display to view helpful and relevant search results.

When it comes to hardware, these devices feature 6.2-inch, 6.7-inch, or 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with LTPO 1-120 refresh rates. The Ultra variant gets tougher Gorilla Glass Armor protection while the rest are using the Gorilla Glass Victus.

In terms of processor, the S24 and 24+ are equipped with a 3.2GHz 4nm Exynos 2400 10-core chip with Samsung Xlipse 940 GPU with AMD RDNA 3 architecture, Ray Tracing, and variable rate shading.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 3.4GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with New Adreno GPU.

Pre-order information

These devices are paired up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage options. On the battery side, the S24 has a 4,000mAh size, the S24+ has 4,900mAh, and the Ultra gets 5,000mAh. All of these have 25W to 45W fast chargers depending on the model.

For cameras, the S24 and S24+ feature similar sensors namely 50MP f1/.8 OIS main cam, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter, 10MP f/2.4 telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.

The S24 Ultra features a 200MP f/1.7 main camera with OIS, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide + 50MP f/4.3 telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and an OIS + 10MP f/2.4 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom

For selfies, all models are equipped with 12MP front-facing shooters.

All three also feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
