ZTE Libero Flip launched!

This device may be perhaps the most affordable flip yet in the market. It can even go lower thanks to its promo price offering which we will talk about down later.

But first, let's talk about the phone's features. In terms of design, the ZTE Libero Flip reminds us of the TECNO Phantom V Flip. It has that circular 1.43-inch cover screen. Around it, you will see the dark circular camera island as well.

The external display supports functionalities like selfies, step tracking, weather updates, and music control.

Opening the flip, you will be greeted with a wider main screen of 6.9-inch OLED with 2790 x 1188 resolution.

Inside, it is powered by the 2.4GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 with Adreno GPU, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

For the battery, it has a 4,310mAh capacity that charges using 33W USB-C with support to QC4+ and PD 3.0 fast charging protocols. According to ZTE, it can be full in 73 minutes.

For cameras, the phone has a 50MP main shooter + 2MP depth helper. For selfies, it has a 16MP front-facing camera.

Other features noted are the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face recognition for security, WiFi, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.

For OS, the phone runs Android 13 out of the box.

JPY price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

ZTE Libero Flip - JPY 63,000 (around PHP 23.3K)

It also comes with a pre-order promo price that makes it even more affordable at JPY 39,800 or PHP 14.8K. In comparison to the TECNO Phantom V Flip, it had PHP 29K SRP and PHP 24K promo price. With that, the ZTE Libero Flip may just be the most affordable flip phone at least in Japan.

No word yet if it will come here in the Philippines though. ZTE entered the PH market last year bringing entry-level and mid-range devices. Who knows there might be a chance or not.

What do you guys think?
