Infinix unveils its self-developed chip!

This will be the brand's first self-developed processor for power management and will be the foundation of Infinix's All-Round FastCharge 2.0 which is expected to debut on NOTE 40 Series devices.

The said technology will cater to the concerns for lower battery life, and power availability in various usage situations, like social media, outdoor activities, or even long gaming sessions.

At Infinix, customer feedback is at the core of our innovation process. With each new generation of our mobile phones, we strive to incorporate this feedback to deliver the best products to our tech-savvy consumers. That's why we've taken the bold step to develop our own chip, elevating our All-Round FastCharge technology to new heights. This allows us to offer cutting-edge functionality in control protocol circuits, charging applications, and AI integrations, all while ensuring safety and reliability. Our commitment is to provide our customers with top-notch phones that excel in functionality and performance, Weiqi Nie, Product Director at Infinix.

The said compact chip comprises three powerful modules. First is the All-round Support Module which combines eight charging scenarios, consolidates protocols, and adjusts charges. The eight charging scenarios include up to 100W multi-speed wired charging, wireless charging, wired reverse charging, bypass charging, AI charging protection for night charging, extreme-temp technology for -20 degrees Celsius, and multi-protocol charging. This integration provides constant performance for demanding use scenarios.

Next is the High-precision Power Monitor Module, which is responsible for detecting current and voltage in real-time and tweaking charging volume to ensure the balance between charging efficiency and temperature control to protect battery life and safeguard the phone's health.

The third one is the Safety Module. This integrates 63 protection measures to cover almost all potential dangers in charging scenarios. The chip's monitoring and recognition capabilities automatically activate these protections, relaying information to other phone protocols for user notification and convenience.

According to Infinix, the Cheetah X1 chip will serve as a central information hub of those features mentioned above and then will optimize the charging efficiency of the NOTE 40 Series. The Cheetah X1 chip avoids translation processes and intelligently distributes power to the phone's components, similar to a brain. The simplified technique allows smartphones to provide charging functions beyond normal modes.

Infinix says it took them two years of research and global consumer insights to make the Cheetah X1 chip. They formed special designers to create the advanced tech that is expected to deliver improved power management to their upcoming phones.

The brand added a wafer-level packaging technology to ultimately reduce the size of the chipset. This technology improves electrical performance by shortening signal transmission pathways and reducing delays, especially in high-speed and high-frequency applications. The chip's processing efficiency per unit rose by 204%. This breakthrough improves charging experiences, supporting varied user needs and reducing phone weight while maintaining power, portability, and comfort.
