Final: OnePlus 12 will launch in the Philippines on April 18!

OnePlus earlier told team GIZGUIDE and other members of the local tech media that they have finally and officially secured OnePlus 12 units for the Philippine market.

Contrary to what its local PR team told us yesterday stating that it won't launch here, the OnePlus 12 will be available to order in the country alongside the OnePlus 12R starting on April 18, 2024.

It will be available on Digital Walker stores as well as OnePlus Lazada and Shopee official pages.

Only the local SRP is missing at the moment. We will keep you guys posted.

To recap, the OnePlus 12 is the company's top-of-the-line offering this 2024. The handset is packed with a Gorilla Glass 5-protected luxury watch-inspired design with a circular camera module and a curved glass back in Flowy Emerald or Silky Black colorways with an IP65 water and dust resistance rating.

In front, the handset boasts a 6.82-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, QHD+ resolution, a 4,500 nits peak brightness, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Under the hood, it is powered by the 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with a new-generation Adreno high-end GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage, and a large 5,400mAh battery capacity with USB-C 100W SUPERVOOC charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless fast charging tech with Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System.

It also has the 4th Gen Hasselblad camera system featuring the 50MP f/1.6 Sony LYT-808 with OIS + 48MP f/2.2 Sony IMX581 114-degree ultra-wide + 64MP f/2.6 OV64B 3x periscope with OIS setup at the back and a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with up to 4K 30fps video recording for selfies.

Completing the specs, the handset also features a stereo speaker setup, IR Blaster remote control, the classic Alert Slider, WiFi 7 2x2 MIMO, 16x omnidirectional antenna, 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual nano SIM slots, and Android 14 OS with OxygenOS 14 skin on top.

To those who are wondering, the phone will get 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security updates.
