OnePlus 12 Global is now official!

Coming from last year, it brings significant updates in overall specs to improve its performance, battery, and cameras.

The new device now features a luxury watch-inspired design with a circular camera module and a curved glass back in Flowy Emerald or Silky Black colorways. The back is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 tech.

The body also has an IP65 water and dust resistance rating. While it is an improvement from the IP64 last year, it still lags behind the IP68 of most modern flagship phones.

In front, it sports a bigger 6.82-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, QHD+ resolution, a whopping 4,500 nits peak brightness, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, it is powered by the 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with a new-generation Adreno high-end GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage, and a large 5,400mAh battery capacity with USB-C 100W SUPERVOOC charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless fast charging tech.

According to the company, its wired charging tech can fill its battery to 100 percent in just 26 minutes.

To keep the phone cool, OnePlus added the Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System with a 9,140 mm² surface area. The cryo cooling tech of this device is probably similar to what OPPO demoed last MWC 2023 with the OnePlus 11 Concept phone.

For cameras, it features the 4th Gen Hasselblad camera system. In particular, you will find the  50MP f/1.6 Sony LYT-808 with OIS + 48MP f/2.2 Sony IMX581 114-degree ultra-wide + 64MP f/2.6 OV64B 3x periscope with OIS setup.

This is capable of up to 6x in-sensor zoom, up to 120x digital zoom, and up to 8K 24fps video recording.

For selfies, it sports a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with up to 4K 30fps video recording.

The handset also features a stereo speaker setup, IR Blaster remote control, the classic Alert Slider,  WiFi 7 2x2 MIMO, 16x omnidirectional antenna, 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual nano SIM slots.

The device runs with Android 14 OS with the OxygenOS 14 skin on top.

OnePlus said that the phone will get 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security updates.

So far, the only difference we can see from the Chinese OnePlus 12 phones is the memory configuration. The 16GB/1TB and 124GB/1TB versions won't be available globally. North American users will also get a slower 80W charging solution.
