iPad Air 2024: 11 or 13-inch, M2 chip, 12MP landscape front cam, starts at PHP 42,990!

Apple has introduced the 2024 version of iPad Air featuring various upgrades on processor and display variants.

The new iPad Air 2024 features new trendy color options in Space Gray, Purple, and Blue.

Apple says this comes with an 11-inch 2360 x 1640 resolution and 500 nits of peak brightest while it is also available in a larger 13-inch size with 2732 x 2048 resolution and 600 nits of max brightness. Both also use LCD Liquid Retina panels.

Inside, it is powered by the Apple M2 chip with an 8-core CPU or 10-core GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB memory configurations.

The new colors

Another change is the landscape-style 12MP selfie camera and speakers for more immersive listening. Apple says this should give a more natural experience when taking video calls.

For the rear camera, it also comes with a single 12MP shooter as well.

TouchID is still incorporated in the power button, and both sizes of the new iPad Air work with Apple's current Magic Keyboard and the new Apple Pencil Pro.

Another upgrade is the usage of WiFi6E while the cellular models now support 5G connectivity using the eSIM

Finally, the new tablet runs iPad OS 17.4 out of the box.

Currently, the new iPad Air 2024 can be viewed on Apple's website. As for availability, Digital Walker or Beyond the Box has to announce yet for its arrival in PH.
