REDMAGIC 9S Pro series launched: SD8G3 Leading version, up to 1TB storage, upgraded cooling!

REDMAGIC announces the 9S Pro and 9S Pro+ as the company's latest gaming handsets with an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

REDMAGIC 9S Pro Series announced!

As teased earlier, these phones use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version which features a boosted clockspeed of 3.4GHz. Meanwhile, its Adreno GPU also has a 1GHz speed as well.

With that, the phones have scored 2,369,542 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, making it the leading score in the rankings as of the moment.

Another highlight is the upgraded cooling to ensure the chip will have sustained peak performance. It has a revamped ICE 13.5 cooling system featuring a vapor chamber with a size of 10,182mm2 plus a new cooling gel to minimize thermal resistance.

It is also accompanied by REDMAGIC's iconic 22,000 RPM active cooling fan which can reduce the SoC's temperature by a whopping 19.5 degrees Celsius.

Moving forward, the phone still has a transparent boxy design with no camera bump at the back. Anyways it comes with Transparent Silver Deuterium and Transparent Dark Knight colorways.

When it comes to display it has a 6.8-inch flat OLED BOE Q9+ panel 2480 x 1116 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 2,000Hz instant touch sampling rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 1600 nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Furthermore, it also has a 16MP under-display selfie camera.

The difference between the two models is found in the memory configurations and battery.

The REDMAGIC 9S Pro has 12GB RAM 256GB/512GB storage options and a 6,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

On the other hand, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro+ has 16GB/512GB, 24GB and 1TB memory options, and a 5,500mAh battery with 165W charging.

For cameras, the phones are similar too with 50MP Sansung GN5 main shooter + 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide + 2MP macro shooter + LED flash.

Other features are a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra, 3x microphones, and shoulder triggers.

Connectivity features are 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6E (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC and dual SIM.

For OS, the phones run Android 14 with REDMAGIC OS 9.5.

The phones are going to be available for sale in China starting July 9. For now, there's no availability information for a PH release.
