HMD Skyline now in PH: Gen 2 Repairability, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, priced at PHP 24,990

Following its global release last July 2024, the HMD Skyline is now official in the Philippines.

HMD Skyline is now officially in PH!

To recap, the device highlights HMD's concept called Gen2 Repairability, which simplifies the process of repairing smartphones for users. HMD claims to have cut down the number of steps required to fix the screen by 65 percent compared to the first generation. 

The HMD Skyline features Nokia N9-like aesthetics with its Neon Pink or Twisted Black color options.

Flipping it upward, the device uses a 6.55-inch pOLED panel with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

At the helm, it features the 2.4GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with an Adreno GPU, options of 12GB RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,600mAh replaceable battery. It supports 33W wired charging, and 15W wireless charging, and also offers 5W reverse wireless charging.

The device features a 108MP main camera with both OIS and EIS, complemented by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera. Additionally, it boasts a 50MP front-facing camera equipped with eye-tracking autofocus for selfies.

Other features mentioned are the stereo speakers and side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Connectivity-wise, it has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14 with 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches.
