We've been using it for a while now and here are its top features.

The first one is pretty obvious and that is its design. We have it in the Ripple Blue color which has this water-wave-like design. It looks stylish and kinda unique. There is also a Midnight Purple color variant available.

The back and display

When it comes to the display, it’s not bad at all. It uses a 6.67-inch KK6 glass-protected LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and HD+ 1604 x 720 resolution at 264 ppi. We think this display is decent enough, but we wished that it had FHD+ or 1080p+ yung resolution similar to most similarly priced competing phones.

Anyway, it also has a Splash Touch feature that keeps the screen responsive even if your hands are wet. So far we get a smooth scrolling experience here with minimal lagging.

Moreover, the A60 is remarkably durable for the price. This one has a MIL-STD 810 military-grade rating so the phone underwent an intense shock resistance test, multi-angle drop test, and high-intensity impact test apart from another high-standard durability test.

It even has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. On paper and in real life, this might be the most durable budget OPPO phone yet.

For performance, even if it is a budget device, it is reliable enough for casual social media scrolling, messaging, calling, and even streaming videos. It can also play several games at low settings.

In particular, it uses the power-efficient 2.4GHz Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor with Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB or 256GB internal storage.

OPPO also boasts that it has a durable 5,000mAh battery that can last for about 4 years and it has a Trinity Engine which ensures that the phone stays smooth, stable, and "cool" even under pressure. It also has a 48-month Fluency Protection rating to guarantee that the phone will have almost the same performance as when it was new even after four years. I guess only time will tell on this one but so far the phone doesn't heat up too much.

It has a fast USB-C 45W charging tech as well.

For cameras, its 50MP main camera is also good to mention on this list. For a budget device, the OPPO A60 manages to produce sharp and vibrant photos na parang midrange phone quality nga.

Just make sure that you have a steady hand when shooting to avoid blurry snaps.

Even its selfie camera performs really well for a budget phone as long as you have good lighting. They look quite natural and not too harsh on skin tones.

Another feature to take note of is its 300 percent Ultra Volume Mode stereo speakers.

It is loud so you can enjoy it by listening to music, watching videos, and more.

Our thoughts

For its PHP 9,999 starting price, the OPPO A60 is solid, literally. It has a tough design and build, a good quality 50MP camera, and a long-lasting camera.

There are things that OPPO could improve, but the key features that they advertised about it are quite true so far.

Anyway, if you are interested, the device is available at Lazada, Shopee, and select OPPO stores nationwide. Yung 128GB variant is available for PHP 9,999, while the 256GB naman is priced at PHP 11,999.
