HUAWEI Watch D2 launched in PH: 24-hour blood pressure tracking, 2.5D AMOLED, 6 days battery life, PHP 19,999 SRP

HUAWEI launched the successor to the popular Watch D, which now has 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and an ultra-narrow mechanical airbag.

The original Watch D launched in the Philippines around June 2022 and was favored by customers for its ability to take blood pressure monitoring.

More than two years later, HUAWEI introduced the Watch D2 with the wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure (ABPM). The Chinese giant worked with global hypertension experts and has spent years improving its blood pressure tracking technology.

The new D2 uses a 26.5mm ultra-narrow airbag integrated into the Watch D2's strap. It inflates and records blood pressure readings at set intervals. Regular reminders are pinged throughout the day and it monitors sleep at night. It is capable of accommodating various postures like standing, sitting, and reclining. It even automatically measures during sleep.

Like other HUAWEI Watch devices, it comes with the HUAWEI TruSense System which detects and tracks various health metrics such as SpO2, ECG, heart rate, stress level, and skin temperature. 

Pre-installed are more than 80 exercise modes and daily activity tracking that is attributed to exercise, diet, sleep, weight, and stress to promote a healthy lifestyle for its users.

It features a 1.82-inch 2.D AMOLED screen with a 408 x 408 resolution at 347 ppi and a 1,500 nits peak brightness. 

The Watch's body is made of an Aluminum alloy and is IP68 water and dust resistance rated. It measures 48 x 38 x 13.3mm and weighs 40 grams without the strap.

On the right side are the rotating crown, function, and ECG buttons. It utilizes several sensors including a 9-axis IMU sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ECG sensor, ambient light sensor, barometer sensor, temperature sensor, differential pressure sensor, and Hall sensor.

Other features include a microphone, speaker, 5V/1A wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.2 BR and BLE, and NFC.

HUAWEI did not specify the battery capacity but the Watch D2 is rated for 6 days of use.

It supports devices on Android 8.0 or later and iOS 13 or later.

Lastly, it comes in either Gold with a white faux leather strap or Black with a black rubber strap.
