Is a new compact iPhone coming early next year?

It's not new when we hear details regarding the compact iPhone. After all, it dates back to 2022 since we've been seeing news about it, and yet Apple hasn't made any release so far.

Based on the latest news from Digitimes, Apple has started to source OLED panels for the iPhone SE 4, also known as the iPhone SE 2025.

The report said it will have a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR panel with 460 ppi.

Another publication 9to5Mac said it will have the latest Apple A18 chip which is similar to the iPhone 16 Series, and will also sport the Apple Intelligence (AI). That processor will also be paired with a minimum of 8GB RAM.

Meanwhile, a well-known Apple Insider named Mark Gurman from Bloomberg claimed the iPhone SE 4 will launch in early 2025.

He also cited anonymous workers doing the project that it will have a model name "V59" and should aid Apple to compete with the Android phones, particularly in China.

Mark Gurman also said, the device will look a lot like iPhone 1,4 but will retain the big notch on the screen instead of a pill-shaped one. Fortunately, Gurman said the upcoming SE device will no longer have the home button from the previous versions.
