Samsung Galaxy A16 4G launched: Helio G99 and 6 years of OS upgrades

Following the announcement of Samsung Galaxy A16 5G, the brand also introduced the 4G version.

This 4G variant uses the same 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate.

The difference is the processor choice which is the 2.2GHz 6nm Helio G99 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

For cameras, the phone sports a 50MP + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it uses a 13MP front shooter.

Other features noted are the IP54 dust and water resistance and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity-wise it has 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14  with One UI 6.1 skin on top. Samsung also said it comes with up to 6 years of OS updates similar to the 5G variant.

Unfortunately, Samsung did not mention the price here but said it would be available in France in November.
