Samsung A16 4G launched: Helio G99, 6 years updates, priced at PHP 9,990

Apart from the Samsung A16 5G, there's also a 4G variant introduced in the Philippines.

Samsung A16 4G is now official in PH

The phone is almost similar to its 5G counterpart. It also boasts very long software support of up to 6 years on both OS and security patches.

Furthermore, the A16 4G comes with Black, Grey, and Light Green colorways.

In front, it has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness.

The main difference is the chip used. This one comes with a 2.2GHz 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core chip with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

It is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

For cameras, the phone boasts a 50MP main shooter + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro. To take selfies, you can use the 13MP front camera.

Other features are a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Connectivity-wise it has 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14  with One UI 6.1 skin on top.
