OPPO Reno 13 Series recently were announced today, powering these devices is the new Dimensity 8350 SoC.
It turns out the new chip has incremental improvements versus the existing Dimensity 8300. It is also made on 4nm fabrication and features 8 cores. The Dimensity 8350 comprises of 4x Cortex-A715 + 4x Cortex-A510 and has 4MB L3 Cache and it still has the Mali-G615 for graphics
The difference would be the StarSpeed Engine for gaming compared to the previous one with HyperEngine.
The new engine brings a 10 percent efficiency in power draw (24 percent in high frame and full frame), a 24 percent improvement in scene transition speed, and reduced jitter. However, MediaTek does not indicate whether the improvements are over the 8300 or a different chip.
To handle its AI processing, the chip uses NPU 780 multi-core while it also supports quad-channel LPDDR5X RAM with a max frequency of up to 8533 Mbps and UFS 4.0 + MCQ storage support.
The rest mentioned are to support screens with 180Hz refresh rate, 320MP camera, or triple 32MP, 4K/60fps video, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, and WiFi 6E connectivity.
As you can see the OPPO Reno 13 and 13 Pro were the first to equip this new processor.
