System activity affects several GCash accounts
Recently, there were social media users who said they recorded unauthorized transactions in their GCash accounts.
Responding to this concern, GCash said there was an ongoing "system reconciliation process".
A GCash statement shared by PhilStar confirmed that this process affected some users.
This incident was isolated to a few users, and we assure our customers that their accounts are safe, the statement read.
GCash said it has reached out to accountholders affected and that adjustments were ongoing.
Update: As of yesterday, the company said that they have completed the necessary wallet adjustment for its affected users.
