PLDT launches FIBER ALWAYS ON - a Fiber and LTE hybrid modem, starts at PHP 299/month

PLDT introduces the FIBER ALWAYS ON internet modem which comprises fiber connectivity and LTE data connection.

Hybrid data and fiber in one modem!

This new product bridges the gap between a line and data internet. The main purpose is to be "always online" as the name suggests in the case of fiber drops. The LTE will act as a backup connection to keep users connected and experience less hassle during downtime.

Users also don't need to worry about the load for the data connection as it will be part of your selected fiber plan from PLDT.

Consumers only need to avail of it as an add-on to the existing internet plan for only PHP 299 per month.

Another worth pointing out is that there will be an automatic service request for quick repair once your router experiences fiber connection loss. 

2-in-1 hybrid LTE and Fiber

This can be particularly helpful during emergencies, sudden internet loss while you are working, playing games, or simply enjoying streaming videos on YouTube or Netflix.

With regards to the LTE data, it will still be unlimited and is powered by Smart. It also uses the LTE Cat 6 version with download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. Although speed will still vary on your location.

Finally, it also supports WiFi 6 with 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands for seamless connection.
