Meet UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh/130W power bank

Just last September, UGREEN brought its Nexode Power Banks to the Philippines. This includes the 20,000mAh/130W which was priced at PHP 3,399.

Included in its box are a pouch, a Type-C charging cord, and the user manual and help guide.

The power bank has a 20,000mAh Lithium-Ion battery which features 2x USB-C ports and a 1x USB-A port, allowing it to charge three devices simultaneously.

It also has a smart digital display showing the charging status and battery level.

Nexode 20,000mAh is compatible with iOS and Android devices, such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, cameras, smartwatches, and headphones to name a few. It is also approved for air travel.

It can fully charge an iPhone 15 4 times, iPad Pro 11" up to 2 times, and MacBook Air 13" up to 1.3 times.

The power bank weighs 476 grams and has dimensions of 131 x 54 x 50.8 mm.

To turn it on, just press the button at the right side, and hold for 6 seconds to turn it off. To turn on the display or switch it, just click the button once.

In our experience, it could be quite a hassle to bring the power bank around due to its weight and size. I tried bringing it in my bag to the office a few times and I definitely felt an added weight.

But if you don't mind these, UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh/130W is a good power bank to get.

It is also one of the more affordable options at this battery capacity and charging speed.

Hefty but useful

I recently used this during an overseas trip wherein I stayed in a capsule hotel. Since charging areas were limited then, UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh was a great help.

I tried charging my MacBook Air M1 with a battery capacity of 4,380mAh using the IN/OUT 1 port of the power bank and it took around 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach 100 percent from 18 percent. However, I had to recharge the power bank since not much was left after charging my laptop.

When I used this to charge my iPhone 14 which has 3,279mAh capacity, it took less than an hour to fully charge from 17 percent.

In another instance, I used OUT 2 to charge my phone while using Netflix. It took around 3 hours to reach 100 percent from 12 percent.

As for my Apple Watch SE, I charged it with the Trickle Charging Mode activated by pressing and holding the side button for 3 seconds. This reduces the current to adapt to low-current devices such as Bluetooth earphones and smartwatches. This session took 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach 100 percent from 19 percent.

Notably, not much power was used since the power bank started with 74 percent and ended with 68 percent.

I also noticed that the power bank may heat up after a long time of usage.

Note: The unit was seeded to team GIZGUIDE by UGREEN Philippines, but rest assured of our fair take always.

UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh/130W may be not for those who are bothered by heavy or bulky power banks. But for those who need to be constantly near a charging port, this power bank may be a good investment.

What do you think guys?
