HONOR 300 Ultra launched: Underclocked SD8G3, 50MP periscope, 80W wireless charging

The HONOR 300 Ultra is real!

After leaks and rumors, it turns out the Ultra variant is existing. The phone boasts a luxurious design along with a high-performance chip and an added periscope sensor.

The HONOR 300 Ultra appeared with an elegant design with its 7-layer plain leather with unique patterns to give the phone an eye-catching look and better feel. The camera island has a hexagonal shape with silver bezels and a "Portrait Master" logo.

Furthermore, it is available in Camelia White and Ink Rock Black while it measures 8.2mm and weighs 198 grams.

HONOR 300 Ultra features

In front, it comes with a 6.78-inch 2700 x 1224 OLED quad-curved screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, 4,000 nits peak brightness, and 1.07 billion colors.

Inside, it is a toned-down version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with a 3.0GHz max boost clocked instead of 3.3GHz. It is paired with 12GB/16GB RAM and 512GB/1TB storage options.

For battery, it uses a 5,300mAh size with 100W USB-C charging and 80W wireless fast charging.

In the camera department, it uses a 50MP Sony IMX906 main shooter + 12MP ultra-wide + 50MP 3.8x optical periscope shooter, and 100x digital zoom.

HONOR also boasts the "SLR-level portrait" and AI light control engine to produce next-level portraits in different lighting situations.

Other features noted are the 36,842mm2 VC cooling, IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, and linear vibration motor.

Connectivity-wise, it has 5G, 4G, WiFi 7, satellite SMS and maps, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, it runs Android 15 with MagicOS 8.0.

The HONOR 300 Ultra is now available for pre-order in China. No word yet for other markets as of the moment.
