HUAWEI to launch Mate X6 Global on December 12, nova 13 Series could join too

HUAWEI will launch the Mate X6 next week and there's a chance the nova 13 Series will tag along too.

HUAWEI Mate X6 Global launch confimed, nova 13 Series could join?

The teaser was posted on HUAWEI's official X account and confirms they will release the internation version of the Mate X6. But with nearly the same time, the phone maker also teased the nova 13 Series with "some similar hashtags" so the pattern suggest we may really see the mid-range devices on the same launch date.

By the way, the even will take place at Dubia this coming December 12.

The Mate X6 Global teaser

To recap, the Mate X6 is a foldable device with 7.93-inch flexible OLED main screen with 2440 x 2240 resolution and 6.45-inch 3D Quad-Curved OLED LTPO cover screen. Both of them have 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness.

The device features an unnamed system-on-chip, accompanied by 12GB/16GB of RAM, and offers storage options of 256GB/512GB/1TB. It is powered by a 5,200mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging through USB-C and 50W wireless fast charging.

The rear circular camera module includes a 50MP f/1.4-4.0 variable aperture main camera with OIS, a 40MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle camera, a 48MP f/3.4 3x Periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 100x digital zoom, as well as a 1.5MP multi-spectral channel red maple primary color camera with a 5cm telephoto macro and an LED flash.

Next the nova 13 Series comprise of  base version and Pro variant.

Both have similar design and details but differs in display size and cameras.

The base nova 13 6.7-inch OLED with FHD 2412 x 1084 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming and In-Display fingerprint sensor.

It also has 50MP f/1.9 main shooter + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and 60MP selfie camera.

The nova 13 Pro has slightly bigger 6.76-inch 2776 x 1224 resolution, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming and In-Display fingerprint reader.

For camera, this comes with 50MP f/1.4 to f/4.0 variable aperture sensor + 12MP 3x telephoto camera + 8MP ultra-wide. It also has 60MP selfie camera + 8MP portrait sensor too.

Both devices unmentioned processors paired with 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options, IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance and both runs HarmonyOS 4.2 out of the box.
