Global HUAWEI nova 13 and 13 Pro launched: 60MP zoom selfie cam, 50MP main cam, 100W charging
Following the global teaser of HUAWEI, the Nova 13 and 13 Pro officially take the global stage.

HUAWEI nova 13 Series goes global!
Similar to Chinese variants, these devices have identical premium-looking designs. They have a crosshatch look and are available in Loden Green and White. The black version has a slightly different back with a cleaner aesthetic and faint glow while all three bear the "nova" logo at the bottom.

These two models also sport an IP65 dust and water resistance rating to shield against water splashes and minimal dust.
In front, the base nova 13 features a 6.7-inch OLED display with FHD+ 2412 x 1084 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Pro version gets a tad bigger 6.76-inch OLED screen with 1.5K 2776 x 1224 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and an in-display fingerprint reader.
HUAWEI still did not mention the processors used here but they come with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage versions.
For batteries, they have a 5,000mAh size and support 100W USB-C SuperCharge.
In terms of cameras, the nova 13 uses a 50MP f/1.9 main camera + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and 60MP f/2.4 selfie camera.
Next, the nova 13 Pro is equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring a variable aperture of f/1.4 to/4.0, a 12MP 3x telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it employs the same 60MP camera but includes an additional 8MP 5x zoom portrait camera.
These phones are equipped with an XD portrait engine which improves facial contours, refines skin texture, and clarifies complexion. It equalizes light and shadow to deliver the best portraits.
Additionally, they have an AI Best Expression tool that chooses suitable expressions from previous images and recommends them to you if you choose to alter your appearance in any photo.
Additional AI capabilities are AI charging temperature control, battery-charging management, and AI eye comfort, which improves dark detail brightness by 104 percent to offer a glare-free view.
The HUAWEI nova 13 series also has 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM. It is unknown whether they have 5G connectivity.
For OS, they have EMUI 14.2 out of the box.

These are now available in China and Europe. Meanwhile, HUAWEI confirms it will come to the Philippines this January 2025.
