The new vivo Y29 is sleekly designed with a unique Dynamic Light LED flash that supposedly enhances the cameras with vibrant lights during playback and dynamic reminders.
vivo India claims that it is the first smartphone in its price segment to provide both Military-grade durability and SGS 5-Star Drop certification. This means it combines a cushioning structure with IP65 dust and water resistance. When paired with a Wavecrest phone case, it becomes drop-resistant.
It comes with a large 6.68-inch display with a 1,608 x 720 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1,000 nits peak brightness and a TUV Rheinland certification.
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage and a 5,500mAh battery with 44W USB-C fast charging. vivo says it takes 79 minutes to charge the battery fully and will maintain 80 percent capacity in four years.
At the back are the 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a 0.08MP f/3.0 secondary camera with an LED flash while the front-facing camera is an 8MP f/2.0 shooter.
Other features include shock-absorbing corners, wave-crest phone case, IP64 dust and splash resistance, Dual WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, dual NanoSIM, microSD card expansion, stereo speakers, 5G and GPS.
It measures 165.75 x 76.1 x 8.1mm and weighs 198 grams. Running the show is FunTouchOS 14, which comes in Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold, or Diamond Black.
