HUAWEI to release updated MatePad 11.5 in the Philippines this January

Initially launched in 2024, HUAWEI has officially unveiled its refreshed HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 during an event in Dubai. For those interested in getting this, it will be exclusively online this January 17.

Weighing 499 g and measuring 6.85mm, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 features an integrated all-metal unibody. It offers a wider, more immersive viewing experience with its impressive screen-to-body ratio achieved by eliminating the plastic support for the tablet’s screen frame. This feature is borrowed from HUAWEI’s flagship tablet models.

The tablet has an innovative Cavity Slot Magnetic (CSM) antenna design that further integrates the metal body seamlessly while ensuring premium Wi-Fi signal performance.

It has an anti-glare PaperMatte Display as well

In terms of display, the table features an 11.5-inch HUAWEI FullView Display, with 2200 x 1440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Its PaperMatte Display, crafted with Nanoscale Anti-Glare Etching Technology, minimizes reflections for a comfortable, paper-like visual even during extended use.

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 has received the TÜV Rheinland Reflection-Free Certification, TÜV Rheinland Paper-Like Display Certificate, and SGS Low Visual Fatigue Certification for the eye-friendly properties of its PaperMatte Display that reduces eye strain.

For bookworms out there, the table has Color eBook Mode that uses HUAWEI's advanced color-mapping algorithm to replicate the richness and vibrancy of physical books. This is ideal for graphic novels, magazines, and picture books. When paired with the 3rd generation HUAWEI M-Pencil, the PaperMatte Display on the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 provides a realistic pen-on-paper feel by combining subtle friction and vibration for a tactile writing experience.

When it comes to note-taking, HUAWEI has upgraded the Notes feature, which now comes with real-time audio synchronization. It supports Multi-Note Opening which enables users to easily switch between multiple notes, while the One-Touch Split-Screen allows for side-by-side comparison.

With the Note Replay feature, handwritten notes are synced with audio recordings in real time. This allows users to click on a note and instantly replay the corresponding audio for precise context. Seamless sharing makes collaboration effortless, enabling users to easily edit shared lecture notes or project ideas to streamline workflow and boost efficiency for young professionals and students alike.

This can also work as a PC with native apps such as PC-level WPS Office. The device’s Floating Multi-Window feature supports multitasking and intuitive window management, while the Multi-Screen Collaboration allows the tablet to function as a second screen and seamlessly transfer files between devices.

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 packs a 7700mAh battery, allowing for up to 60 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of local video playback. It also supports 22.5W fast charging, fully recharging the device in just 125 minutes.

Aside from the 3rd generation HUAWEI M-Pencil, the tablet also supports the HUAWEI Smart Keyboard.

The new HUAWEI MatePad 11.5, available in Isle Blue and Space Grey, will be available exclusively online this January 17.
