Tech giant HUAWEI formally introduced the Mate XT tri-fold a launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The first tri-fold smartphone in the world goes global, soon in PH
Pushing the limits of what a smartphone can do, the HUAWEI Mate XT is the very first smartphone with a triple folding display commercially launched in China and now on the global market.
According to HUAWEI, this is the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world measuring as thin as 3.6mm when fully opened, and the largest foldable display on a smartphone at up to 10.2-inch.

This device aims to be an all-in-one pocketable device that could work as a smartphone when fully folded at 6.4-inch with FHD+ 1080p resolution, a compact tablet at a 7.9-inch screen with a 2K resolution that is great for running two apps at the same time, and a regular large tablet mode at 10.2-inch with 16:11 aspect ratio for a wide viewing experience.
The device can transform into a pocket PC with a dedicated after-market keyboard.

Making this possible is HUAWEI's use of an Advanced Precision Hinge System that folds in opposite directions and allows it to fold into three screens. According to the company, this solution even increases its resistance impact by 30 percent compared to a conventional book-type foldable.

Moreover, the HUAWEI Mate XT boasts an Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera featuring a 10-size Adjustable Physical Aperture designed to capture sharper, professional-level shots.
In particular, it uses a 50MP f/1.4~4.0 RYYB Ultra Aperture Camera with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12MP f/3.4 5.5x periscope telephoto with OIS. For selfies, it has an 8MP f/2.2 shooter.
