realme teases "Ultra" DSLR-level smartphone ahead of MWC 2025

Ahead of its MWC 2025 event in Barcelona Spain this March 3, realme started teasing a new very promising smartphone on X (formerly Twitter).

Aside from the global release of the realme 14 Series 5G, the mystery "one more thing" device will be the company's first "Ultra-branded" smartphone.

device According to the company's teaser, it will be an "Ultra game changer in mobile photography".

Based on the image they posted, the smartphone will feature a two-tone curved design with the realme logo on its lower left corner and a large circular camera hump.

The most intriguing part is it has a large camera sensor in the middle.

Based on the company's latest image teasers, it can do up to 234mm shots at f/2.0 aperture. This is probably similar to a 10x optical zoom camera.

The first photo they teased showed a dried-flower-like subject with a DSLR-like dreamy soft bokeh effect.

The second photo highlighted that it can take photos of the eye with extra-crisp detail for a smartphone telephoto lens.

Unfortunately, details are still super scarce for now.
