Samsung Galaxy M06 5G launched: Dimensity 6300 + 4 years software updates

Apart from the Galaxy M16, Samsung also announced the Galaxy M06 as a more budget-friendly option.

The phone's design

Another budget 5G phone from Samsung

It boasts the same back design as the M16 with the slanted pattern that forms a diamond or X or it probably looks like concert lights as well.

In front, the phone uses a 6.7-inch LCD (IPS) screen with 1600 x 720 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

Inside, it packs the same 2.4GHz 6nm Dimensity 6300 chip with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, although it is paired with a smaller 4GB and 6GB RAM options and 128GB storage.

The features

For battery, it has a 5,000mAh size with 25W fast charging support and a USB-C port.

For cameras, it uses a 50MP main sensor + a 2MP depth helper. Though it loses out to the 5MP ultra-wide. For selfies, it has an 8MP camera.

Other features noted are single speaker, 3.5mm audio jack and side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Connectivity features are 5G, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and dual SIM.

For OS, it runs Android 15 with 4 years of OS upgrades and security patches.
