How do you try the new experimental features on YouTube?

Four new features are accessible for Premium members.

YouTube is currently testing out new features on its platform that you might want to check out. The catch is, that this is only available for Premium subscribers.

YouTube High Quality Audio

First is the High Quality Audio that lets users listen to music on YouTube with the "best audio quality." Note that it is up to 256 kbps.

To use this, you just need to watch an eligible music video on the platform.

This feature is available on both iOS and Android.

Another feature being tested is Shorts Picture-in-Picture on iOS. This works just like the usual picture-in-picture for videos.

YouTube is also testing Shorts Smart Downloads, but it is only for iOS. Premium users can have recommended Shorts automatically downloaded to their device, meaning they can also now watch shorts offline.

YouTube 4x playback

Lastly, YouTube is also testing faster speeds on the platform. There are options up to 4 times on mobile devices.

This is accessible for both iOS and Android users.

All these experimental features are available until March 5.

• Tap YouTube Premium benefits.
• Tap Try experimental new features.
• Tap Try it out on the new features you want to test.
