MWC 2025: Opensignal hails DITO as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines

Independent analytics firm Opensignal awards DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines.

During the 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, DITO Telecommunity Chief Executive Officer Mr. Eric Alberto, together with Mr. Jun Xiao, DITO Senior Advisor, received the award from Opensignal Executives Charles Rutstein and Rob Lerner on March 5 at the Opensignal booth.

According to Opensignal's October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report, DITO outranked rival telco giants Smart and Globe. The company dominated 14 award categories to solidify its position as the country's most awarded and fastest in 5G speeds and overall experience.

Opensignal said that DITO's speed is almost twice as fast as Smart, clocking in at 34.6 Mbps. This is the second time in a row that DITO won the award.

DITO was also the winner in "Consistent Quality & Reliability Experience" as well as overall Video Experience for 4G and 5G, Games Experience, and Voice App Experience awards.

These awards are testaments to the company's dedication to make its network faster, better, and more reliable than ever, despite being the newest player in the country's mobile network space.
