A much-needed upgrade

The FreeBuds 6 features a lighter design, with each piece weighing 4.9 grams and the charging case weighing 40.3 grams.

HUAWEI also has collected different ear shapes and used that data to make a new ergonomic appearance thus providing its users with better fit and less fatiguing earbuds.

Inside the device is an 11mm dynamic driver and a micro-flat tweeter for audio performance, capable of producing sound frequencies ranging from 14Hz to 48 kHz as claimed by the brand.

Additionally. HUAWEI states this is the first semi-open earbud design with dual sound units, supporting lossless audio at 48 kHz/24-bit thanks to the 2.3Mbps transmission. Moreover, the audio equipment also adjusts sound output based on how it fits in the user's ears.

The brand has also teamed up with the Central Conservatory of Music to provide the new FreeBuds6 classical and balanced sound modes alongside head-tracking spatial audio.

It also has bone conduction microphones and noise reduction technology that can handle noise levels up to 95dB and wind speeds of 8m/s. The semi-open noise reduction feature helps reduce environmental noises.

Furthermore, the earbuds provide up to 36 hours of battery life with the charging case, and a 5-minute charge offers 2.5 hours of playback.

It also features a smart charging technology that extends battery life by 37 percent. While the touch controls enable users to manage playback, calls, and volume.

Just as teased previously, it features AI assistant Celia which supports translation and real-time interpretation of up to 21 languages.

Finally, it has long-distance tracking and precision finding within a 50-meter range. While the device connects using Bluetooth 5.2 ensuring low-latency gaming and multi-device pairing. The FreeBuds 6 are rated IP54 for water resistance.
