iPhone 16e will be available for pre-order in the Philippines on March 20

Lazada, Beyond the Box, and other Apple Premium Resellers confirmed that the new iPhone 16e will be available for pre-order in the Philippines on March 20, 2025.

iPhone 16e PH pre-order starts on March 20

After the pre-order period, the device will be available for retail starting March 28, 2025.

The device has a PHP 39,990 starting suggested retail price on Apple's website. But expect that there will be some slight changes per retailer.

To recap, the iPhone 16e is the company's "budget smartphone" compact of the year.

The device features a "durable" aerospace-grade aluminum body available in an "elegant" Black or White Finish, IP68 dust and water resistance, and Ceramic Shield protected 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 2532 x 1170 resolution at 460 ppi, True Tone, P3 color gamut, Haptic Touch, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It also has an oleophobic coating to provide some sort of fingerprint resistance.

In the notch, it has a Face ID-ready 12MP f/1.9 TrueDepth camera with Autofocus (Focus Pixel) and Retina Flash. This has up to 4K 60fps video recording capabilities as well.

The handset measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.80 mm and weighs just 167 grams.

The device is powered by the capable 3nm Apple A8 chip with a 6-core CPU (2x performance + 4x efficiency cores), 4-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine paired with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of memory.

It also uses a 
lithium-ion "all-day" battery that can last up to 26 hours of video playback and has 20W USB-C fast charging support and Qi wireless charging.

In the camera department, the device has a single 48MP f/1.6 Fusion 26mm primary camera with optical image stabilization, but with an "integrated" 12MP f/1.6 52mm 2x telephoto snaps with optical image stabilization. This 2-in-1 camera system can also record up to 4K 60fps Dolby Vision videos with audio zoom and up to 240fps slo-mo videos

Completing the specs, the phone has an action button, stereo speaker setup, 2x microphones, WiFi, 5G (Apple C1 5G modem), 4G LTE, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, NavIC, and dual SIM card support (nano + eSIM), and runs with iOS 18 with  Apple Intelligence (GenAI).
