Leak: Snapdragon 8s Elite won't feature Oryon cores

Previously leaked with around 2M score in AnTuTu, another major detail arises for the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite.

A cost-effective powerful chip?

Based on the new report from another leaker "Gadgetsdata" it will be different from the more premium Snapdragon 8 Elite and would be the successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

The new leak suggests it will have a 1x Cortex X4 running at 3.21GHz, 3x Cortex A720 at 3.01GHz, 2x Cortex-A720 at 2.8GHz and 2x Cortex-A520 at 2.02GHz. For GPU, it will have a presumed name of Adreno 825.

As you can see this doesn't seem to feature the Oryon cores yet still manages to provide a higher AnTuTu score against the SD 8 Gen 2 and closes the gap to the SD Gen 3. The good news is that it won't have the premium price tag like the previous flagships had in the past, at least based on the rumor.

The only thing that remains now is its availability. It's been nearly 4 months since the 1st leak came and there's a possibility that we won't have to wait for long after new reports circulated recently.

With that said, it is first expected to be available on an iQOO smartphone, Xiaomi, and HONOR.
