MWC 2025: TECNO CAMON 40 Premier boasts IP69 rating, Dimensity 8350 chip, 4x 50MP cameras, soon in PH

At the MWC 2025 event, TECNO Mobile revealed the entire CAMON 40 Series. On the very top of the line is the CAMON 40 Premier.

The TECNO CAMON 40 Premier boasts a durable body with IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, can withstand extreme conditions even hot water exposure, SGS 5-Star Certified 360-degree Drop Resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Design-wise, it has a smooth back cover with a striking Space Ring camera with watch-grade 3D precision textures to emphasize its imaging capabilities.

For the display, the handset uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 2.8K 2800 x 1260 resolution and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, it is powered by the optimized for TECNO 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor with up to 3.35GHz clock speed, ARM Mali-G615 MC6 graphics, and a NPU 780 (multi-core). It is paired with 12GB RAM (up to 24GB Extended RAM), 256GB internal storage, and a large 5,100mAh battery with USB-C 70W Ultra Charge tech.

In the camera department, it uses a 50MP 1/1.56-inch LYT-701 OIS main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and another 50MP 3x telephoto camera. This camera configuration is capable of dual high-quality multi-focal length portraits at 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 70mm, and 85mm. It even has a moon mode zoom.

For selfies, it uses a wide-angle 50MP AF (eye-track) camera with up to 4K 60fps video recording.

The handset also has a Pre-ISP Ultra Night Video with independent imaging chip.

Moreover, this device has the One-Tap Button, AI FlashSnap instant capture of moving subjects tech, and the improved Universal Tone for accurate skin tones when shooting images.

The handset also has a stereo speaker (dual speaker) setup, Dolby Atmos audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM, NFC, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It runs with Android 15 operating system with improved TECNO AI.

With TECNO AI

TECNO AI has the AI Eraser 2.0, AIGC Portrait 2.0, AI Perfect Face and AI Sharpness Plus to further elevate the creativity and clarity of images.

It also has AI Efficiency tools enhance everyday productivity with features such as AI Writing for effortless content creation, Google-integrated Circle to Search for seamless online searching with just a swipe of a finger, and AI Translate, which offers the first real-time simultaneous translation with Bluetooth headphones on an Android device.

The device also has Ella AI Assistant with One-Tap Screen Query and Ask Ella to enable users to make calls, create schedules, identify images and text, navigate, and perform various tasks, all while minimizing the need for manual input.

Moreover, TECNO claims that the phone has a 72-month lag-free performance with TÜV Rheinland certification, which is around 6 years.

There is no word regarding the price of the phone yet. But, it will be available in the Philippines soon.
