TECNO CAMON 40 is now official

This is probably the company's budget offering featuring a capable primary camera for mobile photography.

The handset has several similarities to the Pro model, but with a slightly toned-down design and specs.

It uses an IP66-rated body for reliable water-splash resistance instead of the higher IP69 rating, but it retained the SGS 5-Star Certified and features 360-degree Drop Resistance to protect the phone against everyday impacts.

The device is available in Emerald Glow Green, Galaxy Black, Glacier White, and Emerald Lake Green colorways and measures 164.16 x 74./64 x 7.34 mm.

In front, it has a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED panel instead of a curved one. But, it retained the 120Hz refresh rate and 2436 x 1080 resolution at 393 ppi.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by the 2.2GHz 6nm Helio G100 Ultimate octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is paired with 8GB RAM (up to 16GB Extended RAM), 128GB or 256GB internal storage, and a large 5,200mAh battery capacity with USB-C 45W Super Charge tech.

The cameras at the back are the same from the Pro mode. It has a 50MP 1/1.56-inch OIS main camera, 8MP ultra-wide shooter, dual flash, One-Tap Button, and AI FlashSnap for instant high-quality captures.

For selfies, it uses a 32MP camera instead of a 50MP shooter.

Completing the specs, the device also has stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, NFC, GPS, and dual SIM.

It runs with Android 15 operating system with improved TECNO AI.

There is no word regarding its PH pricing yet. But TECNO told us that it will be available in the Philippines soon.

Stay tuned.
