HUAWEI brings eWallet Payments to its wearables

On-the-go payment mode
To access GCash through HUAWEI smartwatches, users can follow these steps:
- Log your HUAWEI ID on your Android or HUAWEI phones. The HUAWEI ID region must be under the Philippines.
- Connect HUAWEI Health to your HUAWEI smartwatch.
- Log in to your GCash mobile app. Make sure your account is fully verified.
- On your HUAWEI smartwatch menu, go to "Settings" and select the "Payment" option.
- Find the "GCash" option to install the app on your smartwatch. Open the app once installed.
- Enter your GCash pin. Scan the QR code displayed via the GCash mobile app.
- Select "Bind" on the GCash mobile app.
- Both the GCash mobile app and the watch screen should show that the linking is successful.
After successfully linking accounts to the HUAWEI wearables, users can immediately use their devices to conduct their transactions using the GCash QR payment code displayed on their watch.

Users can enjoy fast transactions even without their phones or wallets with just a scan at any 7-Eleven, Lawson, Marketplace, Starbucks, or other stores that accept QR code-based payments.
Watch Pay is available for use on the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate, HUAWEI WATCH GT 4, HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, HUAWEI WATCH D2, HUAWEI WATCH Fit 3, and the HUAWEI Band 10 and will be available for wearables launched in the future.
Watch Pay is the first of a series of advancements in the pipeline for GCash.
The launch of this feature on HUAWEI wearables comes after the tech brand was reported to have ranked first globally for wrist-worn devices priced below USD 700 in 2024.

HUAWEI Online Store, and HUAWEI Experience Stores nationwide.
