Ahead of the Xiaomi May 22 event in China later, a new leak showed that the upcoming Xiaomi 15s Pro, powered by the company's self-developed flagship chipset, is a BEAST. |
Xiaomi's Xring O1 chip AnTuTu score |
As good as other flagship chips?
According to the leaked images, the Xiaomi 15s Pro with Xring O1 processor scored 2,535,163 in the AnTuTu benchmark app. This is slightly higher than the Xiaomi 15 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with 2,515,259. My personal Xiaomi 15 scored 2.85 million. MTK's Dimensity 9400 and 9400+ chips are right around the corner as well.
While the Snapdragon 8 Elite can score higher than what the leaker showed, at around 2.8 to 3 million points, the performance shown by the Xring O1 is good for Xiaomi's first foray into the high-end mobile chipset category.
To recap, the Xring O1 SoC is confirmed to be fabbed under a second-generation 3nm advanced technology with 190 billion transistors and is independently developed and designed by Xiaomi. The leak showed that the chip comes with a 3.9GHz clock speed.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15s Pro is expected to feature a 6.73-inch OLED screen with 3200 x 1440 resolution, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 6,100mAh battery capacity, and Android 15 OS with HyperOS 2.0 skin.
The rest of the missing details will likely be revealed at the launch event later.
Stay tuned for more info.
