Following the introduction of iOS 26 at the WWDC 2025, Apple also released the list of devices that will support the new software.

To recap, the new OS brings upgraded quality of life features for iPhone users. It features a refreshed look with its Liquid Glass Design, Adaptive time display, 3D wallpaper, on-device AI messages, FaceTime, and Phone apps.

It also has enhanced emoji and image customization, improved UI in the CarPlay, edge-to-edge growing + floating tab bar with Safari, animated full screen album art with Apple Music, AI Call screening, streamlined layout, separate Library/Collections tabs with Camera & Photos, and a gameplay overlay with Apple Games.

Currently, the iPhone 16 Series is at the forefront of the update, which means users starting from the iPhone 16e up until the 16 Pro Max will support the new version.

Below is the list of iPhones compatible with iOS 26:

  • iPhone 16e
  • iPhone 16 and 16 Plus
  • iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15 and 15 Plus
  • iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14 and 14 Plus
  • iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 and 13 mini
  • iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 and 12 mini
  • iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone SE (2nd gen and newer)

Meanwhile, Apple drops support for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. So this is a piece of sad news for the owners of these devices.

Finally, the beta version of iOS 26 will be released today, while the full version will go official this 2025's fall season.
