HONOR Magic V5 flagship foldable teased to launch on July 2, 2025

HONOR CEO James Li announced today at MWC Shanghai 2025 that the upcoming Magic V5 foldable will be launched in China on July 2.

HONOR CEO James Li also said that it will be the company's most powerful AI-powered foldable to date and will also be the world's thinnest and lightest foldable. This follows the Magic V3, which is 4.35mm when unfolded or 9.2mm when folded. It weighs 226 grams.

HONOR also stated that it will directly challenge the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, which is set to launch globally in early July. It promises a compelling alternative for users seeking cutting-edge design, performance, and portability.

The brand added that the Magic V5 will come with on-device AI capabilities, empowering users with PC-level productivity. This includes a full-stack knowledge base, multi-agent AI collaboration, and seamless interconnectivity. This is said to mark a bold new chapter in intelligent foldable technology.

Earlier reports have claimed that the Magic V5 will come with the 4.47GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, a 7.95-inch 2K+ LTPO foldable screen, a 6,100mAh third-generation silicon carbon battery with 66W wired charging, 50MP rear cameras, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.

Not much else is known about the phone.
