How freelances can access perks for the 9-to-5 crowd

In reality, freelancers cannot really enjoy the benefits of the usual 9-to-5 workers if they do not work on with themselves. One accident, one delay, one missed opportunity can throw your whole month off balance.

To help freelancers prepare for unexpected events, Maya said it has different features that can help grow income and give easy access to funds.

One is the Maya Savings, where users can earn up to 15 percent interest per annum just by letting their money sit smartly.

There is also Maya Easy Credit that gives access to up to PHP 30,000. The platform also offers credit cards, such as the Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card for up to 5 percent cashback at Landers Superstores, 2 percent on dining, and 1 percent on most everyday spends, and the Maya Black Credit Card that lets users earn Maya Miles on every swipe.

Maya also gives access to Singlife's Cash for Income Loss (Accidents), a straightforward insurance plan for as low as PHP 1,196/year, with cash benefits of up to PHP 50,000 per month for 36 months if an accident puts you out of work.

This can be purchased directly through the Maya app, along with other Singlife plans like Cash for Goals, Cash for Medical Costs, and the 3-in-1 Protection Plan.

When users purchase any of these Singlife plans in Maya until the end of June, they get PHP 500 cashback.

There are also perks when transferring freelance earnings from PayPal. With a minimum transfer of PHP 7,000, users get PHP 250 cashback.
