Stay vigilant!

One of the greatest innovations yet may be the development of artificial intelligence, or AI. This can be used for anything, may it be for school, work, or just for everyday life.

As AI's ability further advances, others also find ways to use it to fool others.

The PLDT and Smart Communities page shared a sample to inform the public of how such kinds of AI video may look like.

In the video, the AI-generated people reminded the public that this technology can be used to easily imitate faces, and even voices. Such fake content can be used to ask for an OTP, a password, or share false information.

There was even a recent issue involving Senator Bato dela Rosa wherein he shared an AI-generated video showing Filipino students opposing the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.

The lawmaker even said in the comments: "Sabi ko kung AI man yan may punto ang gumawa, kung hindi yan AI may punto ang mga bata na nagsasalita. Either way the point is very clear and I agree with that point. I am agreeing to the message not to the messenger. AI man yan na video or a written post, still I agree with the message that it conveys."

The telco company urged the public "to help each other understand and protect one another from old scams using the latest tricks and toys."

From us, we also remind the public to always check whatever they read or watch online. A quick Google search will always be helpful to ensure you do not get fooled.

What do you guys think??
