Unauthorized access blocked
Louis Vuitton Philippines has revealed that an unauthorized party recently accessed its system, obtaining some of its customers' information.
In an emailed notice, the luxury brand stated that it became aware of the personal data breach on July 2, which resulted from the unauthorized exfiltration of certain personal data of some of its clients following unauthorized access to its system.

Louis Vuitton's investigation showed that the incident may have concerned some of its clients' personal data, such as first name, last name, gender, country, phone number, and email address.
We would like to reassure you that no password nor financial information, such as credit card information, bank details, or other financial accounts, was contained in the database accessed, the brand said.
Louis Vuitton assured that its cybersecurity teams have taken care of the incident and that technical measures were immediately taken to contain the incident after its occurrence. Its were also mobilized to cooperate with authorities who have been notified.
The company urges its customers to remain vigilant against any unsolicited communication or other suspicious correspondence, including emails, phone calls, or text messages.
While there is still no evidence that the accessed data have been misused to date, phishing attempts, fraud attempts, or unauthorized use of clients' information may still occur.
Clients were told to never disclose their Louis Vuitton password to anyone, adding that the brand will never ask for them to disclose it.
