The next booklet foldable competitor in PH?

An image shared by Unbox Philippines and originally spotted by Utterly Techie shows a poster of vivo X Fold5 with a tagline of "So Light, So Strong in Ayala Malls Central Bloc, Cebu.

While not explicitly indicating that it may arrive in the country, you don't really see posters like this unless brands intend to make them official in the country. Though sometimes they don't really make it.

Anyway, vivo does intend to make the first global appearance of its foldable in India alongside the vivo X200 FE on July 14.

In the Philippines, we will have the official debut of vivo X200 FE on July 18. There could be a possibility of the brand tagging its latest foldable or on a different date.

In the meantime, take a look at the quick details of the vivo X Fold5.

To recall, it features a lightweight body at 217 grams, a triple IP rating of IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+.

The foldable also has an 8.03-inch AMOLED main panel with 2K resolution and a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate. The cover display has a 6.53-inch FHD+ LTPO 120Hz refresh rate.

Inside, it sports a 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging or 40W wireless charging.

For imaging, the vivo X Fold 5 boasts a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with OIS + 50MP ultra-wide camera + 50MP IMX882 3x periscope telephoto sensor with up to 100x digital zoom.

Furthermore, ZEISS optics and software enhancements enable professional-grade portrait modes, macro shots, and improved low-light performance. Both the inner and outer displays feature 20MP front-facing cameras.

With that being said, let's all wait for the official announcement if the brand will truly bring the device into the country.
